The Principality of Monaco is a sovereign state situated in the core of Europe. It is located on Cote d’Azur between the French-Italian border and Cannes. It has a population of roughly 35000 which inhabits just over a square mile along the Mediterranean coast. Monegasque makes about a fifth of the total population while the rest is a mix of Italian, French, British and other European nationalities. While English and Italian are widely spoken, French is the official language.
Monaco’s strength is the security it accords it residents by use of a strong and well trained police force. Most apartments have 24 hour security. Being a prestige area, Monaco real estate exchanges hands for considerable sums of money. There is little bargain to be made considering the population density and d the quality of accommodation provided. The Principality’s tax policy has ensured that prices have remained stable making the market buoyant and attractive.
Much of the property available in Monaco is apartments, ranging from small studios to penthouses and luxury triplexes. Apartments that overlook the Formula 1 track and the harbor are more valuable. Beautiful townhouses and luxury villas are also available though they are much more expensive. Its high density has ensured that there is struggle for parking spaces. Wars in the future will definitely not look like Star Wars or Star Strek. Well, not in the near future anyway, but it can be the case in the very distant future. If one will compare it to movies, it is more likely that wars will be fought with very advance technology. Developed countries might soon make their army made up of Iron Men, thus eliminating the need for soldiers and increase the demand for laboratory geeks instead. There will be no more parents that will bury their sons and daughters who served the army, no more husbands and wives separated because of territorial disputes, there will be no more children who will lose a parent fighting for his country. It can also be a version of Captain America, where soldiers are injected with a drug that will make them super strong. They will no longer tire of marching and training. They will no longer die in the traditional sense.
But this is assuming that the world will still have wars at all because we are all hoping that wars will be obsolete in the next half century. But by any chance that these unnecessary killing sprees would still persist, it is more likely that it will be remote like those in fiction movies. It will no longer be like Sparta. It will not be won by those kingdoms that have the greatest warriors, but by countries which have the best brains and the resources to build machines. But then, it will go back to wars becoming obsolete. Because when this technological warfare becomes cheap to produce, which they eventually will, it will spread to all countries. All countries at some point will be able to engage and attack like any other that will make the world reach a stalemate. By then, no one will try to push the button first.
